Air Canada commercial has Mac26x?

Post by mermaelee »

:o Did my eyes decieve me or did I see a Mac26x :macx: on the Air Canada commercial, the one with celine dion singing the background to promote tourism. It had a nice cockpit enclosure and two people diving off into the water. Does this prove that the X is better than the M?

 l'm sorry to hear you poor M 'ers have been banging up your daggerboards. I always remember to pull up my centerboard but it is nice to know that just in case it would swivel-in like a pocketknife. Have you M 'ers figured out what to do for going to the bathroom? :?

I read about someone trying to go to Catalina and didn't have a place to stay and problems with Alamitos marina. Email me at ben@welchland.com
My house is on a corner lot in Westminster only 3 miles from the Huntington Harbor and you can park on the side overnight (as long as you show me your mods). It takes less than fifteen minutes for me to get to Sunset Aquatic Marina. M or X doesn't matter, we're all brothers in this whole Mac phenomena! You can also check out my Clipper Marine 26 that is also parked in my backyard. It is a premac! I'm raising my own fleet of boats! I got a pedal boat, a go go speed racer kind of boat and kayaks plus the half dozen Costco inflatables. You can hose your boat and prep at my house. I wouldn't mind being a hub for Catalina Launches just tell me the date and time. Maybe I can go with my Mac during summer months, being a school teacher has it's perks!

I really do not want to get into this again. :x The interiors of the :macm: and the :macx: are QUITE different. Pluses and minuses for both.

There you go Mermalee, hurting the M'ers feelings again. Hey you must be practically my neighbor. I'm in HB near Warner & Edwards. Launching & retrieving out of Sunset can be quite the adventure! I am starting to launch at the little ramp at the Warner firestation. I have a HB beach parking sticker so it is free for me. Where & what do you teach? I am subbing for Garden Grove Unified and am working on my credential at Cal State Long Beach. I will have the summer off, so we should get together. What type of Mac & engine do you sport?

I actually PMed Harrison with my cell # and gave him grief  for not calling when he was here. I know of at least two other people in HB with Macs. Anyone comming out to the Long Beach or OC area should PM us. I live in a cul de sac and have plenty of parking.

I have heard people suggest setting up a database of Macers willing to help out. I think it is a great idea since local knowledge can sometimes make or break a trip. I would go so far as to suggest a separate forum organised by region.

That commercial was running about a year ago and I only saw it once, but I believe it is an X!
