Zeno's Arrow
I have been hearing about this ship for years, but I really have never gotten a clear picture in my mind (metaphore) of what this ship looks like or any pictures of modifications or anything. Is this boat for real???
See the link below for pics and specs from the guy who is supposedly the owner:

There appear to be many copies of Zeno's Arrow website at web.archive.org
You'll have to copy and paste the URL above. The forum software doesn't seem to handle it correctly.

Now that I'm actually back on shore for awhile after nearly 10 years of living on Zeno's Arrow & traveling, I'm more than happy to answer questions about the boat or where it has been, please keep in mind that with 2x6 hp. & 1x18hp 4 strokes and only owning a trailer for the last year or so, I'm not too much up on offering advise or suggestions on motorsailing at speed or towing. Cheers, (the 'supposed' owner of Zeno's Arrow, although I like to refer to myself & my boat as partners as we have been through alot together since '95) Maddmike.

Why not make a article for the "Featured Articles" listing the mods and what you have done. I can only guess after living 10 years on a boat that you have replaced almost everything for one reason or another. But what has worked and how, based on experience and what worked, is much need data.
You have changed a "Costal Cruiser" to a "Blue Water Boat". Well done.

Zeno's Arrow
Hey MadMike! Sure good to hear you survived your adventures...wondered if you got done-in in the Amazon.
Like a lot of others on this site, just don't know where to start with the questions. Literally a lot of water under your bridge since leaving 'ol CC. As you can see from the posts, this site is by far the best on the web for Mac folks. Hope we don't burn you out. Are you doing a book? Did you ever write-up your unusual mods? Jack
Hey Jack, long time no see!!!!
Wow, great to hear from you! When I left Tahoe in 1996 I really didn't expect it to take me almost 10 years to get back! I just kept finding more & more interesting places to go and things to do along the way. Oh well, not the worst way to get old. I did actually get the boat back in the water in Tahoe last spring, kinda like finishing at the place you started (although my old slip at Logan Shoals is now a private home). I was going to do a 7 Summits slide show at the 'Fresh Catch' at Tahoe keys, but I'm back working for Northsails & they shipped me off here to Sri Lanka before I could. Going to try to put a slide show together when I get back on the boat trip (before heading out with the boat to Hawaii, hopefully next June). Keep in touch on this site, good to hear from you. Cheers, Maddmike
One Clarification
Apparently, some folks are under the impression that my boat is here in Sri Lanka with me. That is incorrect; The boat returned to its home port Lake Tahoe from the Carribean late last year and underwent a refit for its next adventure. I am in Sri Lanka working on shore to get money to go out again, but do plan on getting 'Zeno's Arrow' here in steps over the next couple of year. Hawaii, Pacific Islands, Asia, then the Indian Ocean. Cheers, Mike

Mike,
You could probably earn a lot more money by writing a book. People are always interested in reading about small boat adventures.
Sure would like to see a picture of the keel, anything you did to the rudders to strengthen them, details of how the para-anchor worked, sleeping and cooking arrangements while underway, any upgrades to nav lights, details on the smaller motor mounting, fuel storage, cabin heating and ventilation, clothes washing, fresh water storage etc. Put it all in a book and I am sure you would get lots of buyers. Of course free on the internet is good too!
What places did you visit? Would love to hear more.

Welcome Mike, I am glad to see that you have joined our site. Youll find this site to be far less hostile then Sailing Anarchy. From the start you will notice the absence of foul language. I feel that alone speaks volumes on the character of it members, which is now at 1048 and over 39,000 posts. The figures do not include the old site. IMHO this site far more organized easier to navigate then the other Macgregor sites.

Adventures of ZENOs ARROW...
MaddMike...I think an idea of hooking up with ROGER MACGREGOR, concerning the "TRAVELS of a MACGREGOR" would be an awesome MARKETING EVENT for the MacGregor Sailboat, along with an interesting "SPONSOR" for you ! NEVERTHELESS, your MAC travels would definately be an INTEREST to many, PROBABLY ALL, MAC owners...including OTHER TRAILER SAILORS. COMON', we want to hear MORE -- after all, living on a MacGregor for such a long PERIOD of TIME isnt an everyday EVENT, especially along with such EXTENSIVE TRAVELS involved. FACE IT...You have lots to TELL....
