dear confused,
just wanted to say i sail out of palmetto, terra ceia bay. i used to have a cat 22 and it took 45" whether i sailed or powered to get to the gulf, (mouth of terra ceia) in the mac i leave the ballast tanks empy, motor out to the mouth of the bay in 11" yes eleven minutes. then i fill the ballast tank and start a great day of sailing. i have gone over sandbars under power that my flats fishing brother in law wouldn't take his fishing boat over. you will never be sorry if you buy a mac. i am a former sailboat racer but hey, i am not trying to race now, just enjoy my comfortable, versatile big interior boat.
