Practical Sailor just dropped a great vid on the Mac
Practical sailor just put up a new video on the Mac on their YouTube channel. It was done by the guy from Lady K sailing who works PS's YouTube staff. It will help your value of your boat. I loved it and lots of folks are leaving comments including me.

Tim was from our Yacht Club.
The only Mac he every saw was mine. He was a Mac hater.
He bought my friend's fathers old water logged sail boat.. years ago.
The one he almost sank when he took it to the Carib. and ran out of money, calling all the people at the club for "donations".

That would make sense. Seems he was able to carve out a living of some kind from it......so, good on him.

Re: Practical Sailor just dropped a great vid on the Mac
“… compromise ever sold to the MASSES.” That’s what they don’t like about us. Power or sail, WE don’t belong to their lizard brained clique. It ain’t our boats they don’t like. It’s us!
I once rescued a couple of elderly ladies fishing in a pontoon boat late at night in a rocky cove. Dead battery. I owned a 19’ Laguna Windrose at the time. We had just pulled into the marina when they called in for help. We knew EXACTLY where they were from their description. In a sailboat, sailing a lake, sooner or later, you’re gonna know every inch … intimately. The “harbormaster” was drunk and took off in the wrong direction even after our advice. The admiral and I were tired but felt it was our DUTY as HUMANS to get involved. So, with our 1 1/2 hp Sears kicker (from about 1960) we headed out. Took about 30 minutes to get there. Took 2 1/2 hours to bring ‘em in. Found the “harbormaster” asleep back at the marina. The ladies offered to pay us but we respectfully declined. The admiral says to them, “Did we really have a choice?”
Next morning, the marina owner bought us breakfast and offered us some discounts … on ANYTHING …. He had already determined on his own what went on and had fired the “harbormaster”. Now, with the exception of the marina owner and the ladies, EVERYONE on the lake made fun of us over this incident.
I can prove, scientifically (but do I really have to), that we are THE most inclusive bunch of nonconformist, creative, adventure seeking, individuals who are QUICK to lend a hand and just as quick to admire someone else’s prized possession even if it IS a money pit nightmare.
That’s why they don’t like us. We make ‘em ALL look bad.

I always thought that was a weird show, but at 11 I probably wasn't their target audience.

We visited the seaside town in Wales, where it was filmed. We were there on a day when there was virtually no one around, and it was the most bizarre and eerie place I’ve ever been. Both my sons, who very much enjoyed the show, were totally creeped out.

Well chosen location.
But now Mr administrator, we're off topic.

Re: Practical Sailor just dropped a great vid on the Mac

This guy had some decent videos. Seemed like his original channel just fell apart. I like some of his new PS content - good that he talks about older boats and nonracing boats etc. Having said that the script fell churned out from an AI. For me I had an idea because of the "overly" flowery language and constant use of metaphor/analogy/simile comparitors.so essentially the AI trolled the forums for content and churned out a script.

I’m waiting for AI to start lying, and begin telling us it’s all real.
Not that I want to scare anyone, of course.
