I would like to buy some for our 1996 X... also need those "end caps" for the rub rail on the stern..

I have never been able to get the BWY website to work however :(

How much for the rub rail and the end cap pieces?

Call BWY at 1-800-688-8626.

Rub Rail is $89.00 and End Caps are $6.50 each. You will need 3-4 tubes of 3M 5200.

The technology behind their website is a bit outdated, but hey, they specialize in our boats, not in IT. :)
If you use MS Internet Explorer and put it in compatibility mode, the BWY site will work without effort.

It works fine on Firefox, though I don't know what version (30.0 maybe, from the update list?). And I found a place in IE 11 to set the BWY site to always open automatically in compatibility mode. Don't remember what I did, but there's a list of one web site (BWY) in that menu item, so I must have put it there. :| But it works just fine in either.

And remember that there are usually multiple pages for any search, but the 'page' buttons are at the top of the page, and I often forget to look to see if there are additional pages when I get to the bottom of the page. Or set the results per page from the default 10 to something higher. Like 100. :D It would be nice if there was a 'next' button at the bottom, but the site works, and they'll talk to you on the phone, and price and delivery is usually quite reasonable too, so no complaints really.

Their site isn't the best. I prefer Google Chrome for web browsing and it doesn’t work. I found that if used Internet Explorer and I followed the instructions on this page http://bwyachts.com/BWYParts/intro.htm to get the settings right, that it works every time now. I like going to “Find My Part”, putting in 26X in the “Models” column, changing the “Results per page” to 100, hitting “SEARCH NOW”, and looking through all the parts they have for my :macx: . Gives me lots of stuff to spend money on and their prices are hard to beat!

I went to Blue Water Yachts to see what they offer. What they show on their site seems to show there is no 1984 26S.

This is what they show as to the different MacGregors over the years. They don’t show any 26’s for 1984. There is a Mac 25 built in 1984.

Kholsten00,

Are you certain about 1984. The only Mac made in 84 was a Mac 25. From 1973 to 1979 the boat was a Venture. In 1980-1987 it was called the MacGregor 25.

If you post a photo of the bronze plaque on the stern, we can discern which boat it is; at least we can try. 8)
