They look like fine, well built boats. However, they are much heavier and pricey. A quick search turned up one that sold in Australia for $80k

I,ve been in a few of them at boat shows they used to also make a 34/36 footer & a 20/22footer , the 28ft boat has a walk around deck which vastly diminishes the cabin space inside so its like sitting inside a mac26 :o :? basically , its a well built boat & some of the finished product is better but not great it likely sails just as fast as a mac due to its much heavier weight but should b a better ride in bad weather as it wont bounce around as much, anything faster than hull speed its gonna b a tank guzzler on Gas plus the tow vehicle pulling all that weight , u,ll b hard finding a house with a drive way big enough to park it & most citie,s & towns will not let u park that big a boat on residential property or on the street , so best option would b mast up storage in a Marina to cut down on towing cost & launch time or a dock in a marina .
So for that kinda money u could buy a much better quality used keel boat with 2/4ft more Beam width , bigger galley & head & way more storage& more comfort .
Also remember the hardware & rigging on that boat & running rigging is at least 3 to 4 times bigger & at least 6 times the cost so ur maintenance cost just went thru the roof  .

the creature comforts of this boat doesn't warrant the cost not much better than a Mac center dinette is a bummer also :|

Not my cuppa tea or java for that matter LOL , it,s not even big enough to use as a live in :P
Nothing beats the Mac for price point , easy maintenance & care & carrying costs including insurance

So I,ll just stick with my Mac26M :D

well, maybe it's true... But I don't think that it is a real difference to the Macs

We have one of these in our marina.

It seems like a nice boat, however, it is still MUCH heavier than the Mac so I imagine you need something big to tow it. I've seen it stored on the trailer and never leaves, so that's probably why.

This boat is much more expensive than the Mac and is no longer manufactured.

In our marina there are 2 26Ms and 2 26Xs and 2 26Ds. We have no travel lift so EVERY boat must be trailered in/out which is why the Mac seems to dominate as the perfect boat.

I looked at a newer Seaward before buying my Mac 26M. Beautiful boat, salty lines etc but was 3x the price and much more weight - meaning could not be towed by my 4Runner (5000lb capacity). For what I planned to do with a boat, the Mac was the far better fit and being less expensive and lighter made the choice a no-brainer.

One really nice feature of that Imexus 28 is the Mast raising bracket on the front of the boat. Its triangular and seems to stay attached to the hull and out of place as it sits on the deck just inside the pulpit. There is a picture on page 3 of this PDF - https://www.imexusyachts.at/wp-content/ ... s-PDF5.pdf
