M25 1984 Trailer with missing parts

Post by moserwe »

I just bought a 1984 M25 sailboat with what I believe is a stock trailer. There looks to be a roller or guide missing on the frame cross support between the bunk boards and the front Vee Bumper. All I have are the two bolts with nuts installed hanging from the cross support. What does the roller or guide plate look like so I can fabricate a new one?

The original (as I got it) on my trailer was just a block of wood. Literally a piece of 2x4 painted black to match the trailer. I was doing some other work of the trailer, so I replaced it with one of these:

CE Smith KEEL Roller/Bracket Assy 5", Beige

Thank you for your response. I like the idea of using a roller. This should reduce the bouncing of the bow while going down the road. Thanks Again
