You could sail it over…🤔⛵️….._/\ :| /\_

The mast down you could explore the rivers and canals…. Cruise past the Eiffel Tower …. Cross the Channel…. Coastal France…. Spain….. the Southern Coast of France…. The Mediterranean in Summer…

You might want to check out a shipping container as the MacGregors were designed to fit.

The resale price of a Mac in Europe is better than in Canada and the US.

France is a beautiful place.
(We’re just slightly envious😎😎)

Just suggesting an alternative idea.
Plus there is also the novelty aspect with starting a new in a different environment.

Best of luck! :) :) And let us all know where you end up and how things work out!

Best Regards

That boat looks great -end of line :D

I was amazed to see how many people contacted me... I am sure I will find her a good owner. McGregors really still have fans.

France is surrounded by 3 seas and an ocean, so there are lots of places for real sailing. A sailboat on a canal is a sad sailboat. :(

Sail it over: I am sure it is feasible (I am serious), but this adventure isn't for me...

Shipping container: I really thought about it but I think it is not cost effective for this boat.

Then the real point is about the sea condition in northern France which requires a different hull design. My dads boat was a rough sailboat inspired from a lifeboat. This alone says a lot... https://www.bateaux.com/plaisance/voili ... MWGDQIuzCk,

Hi Alexis!

I’ll take your word for the regular sea conditions in the coastal region you will be at.

Too bad that I’m a linguistic Luddite and can’t read French. I bet the article is interesting about an interesting vessel! :D :D

Not sure if ever want to be sailing in conditions that would require the legacy of a lifeboat! :o :? :| :D :D (Yes, I’m a chicken 🐓) :D :D

I hope all goes well for you and your family with the move! Please stay in touch and let some of us that don’t get to travel far afield know how things work out. France is a beautiful country!
Best Regards

I dunno. My bucket list includes sailing the rivers and canals of France, the Danube and the Dneiper. :)
