A couple of years ago I started this mod at right about the same time we were building our house. Big mistake. Fast forward a couple years and I finally had time to finish it after the house building headache was done. My only unchangeable spec for the whole house was a garage for the Mac.
The axle mod was not all that difficult, although the tire-fender-boat clearance issues did give some cause for pause. As a matter of fact it caused the long delay, as I sorta got discouraged during the fender fabrication process. I just bought the same axle from ETrailer and centered them on the old mount position. I rebuilt all the bunks when I made the new ones, the old ones were in bad shape. I also added stainless calipers from ETrailer. It's finally done, I just pulled it out yesterday. We can't wait to road trip with her again. Only thing left to do is choose the wheel color.
