Oh, and I made the classroom very “Titanic”, too... I had my audio system playing water sounds and the sound of the Titanic dining room, and I also had this stuff to go along with the ruse...



Each student sent got a “Boarding Pass” to “The RMS Titanic” (my classroom). The kids loved it.

I knew that Uncle Pennybags did not have the monocle but I thought for sure the peanut did.

Wow, what else have I been missing all these years? Next thing your gonna tell me there is no luxury tax, but a Super Tax!

(I always think of that one because here in California they make you pay a property tax on your boat but NOT your motorhome yet, they let you deduct the interest on your motorhome loan as a second home but NOT the interest on your boat loan!! Go Figure!)

So back to the stern addition on a Mac26X….
The idea sounds like it was more than a swim platform unless I’m misunderstanding the dialog….
A sugar scoop added to the stern on a Mac26X? That would look interesting!

But how does one resurrect a lost photo???



The future a hundred years from now is going to know more about Ancient Greece than what happened since the digital age due to no one being able to access the data storage due to equipment obsolescence

So sad that photobucket went under, taking so many photos with it.

Currie's mods were amazing. The man is a craftsman and an artist. His aft berth bulkhead and then extending the cockpit were amazing mods.
When done, the aft cockpit looked like it was from the factory that way.

As I remember, not a sugar scoop, but rather the reverse. He extended it from the deck back and moved the pedestal with it.

He later sold the boat and I'm sure it's out there someplace. I did an image search and can't find it.

A lot of thought and planning went into those modifications.

Yes Wow again! That rear cockpit extension is great! Really opens up space on top. I’m not real fond of the seat on the 26x, seems so thick, wish it was dished back a bit like this, and easier to move out of the way.

Yeah! That would be a good mod!
The standard space provided between the helm wheel and center seat could definitely be improved.
While we like the coziness the current arrangement allows to the side benches the foot space and arms length to helm is a compromise that doesn’t quite work for protracted operational times. It would be nice to be able to adjust fwd and back with different operator’s sizes.

We’ve thought about a retro fit helm interface but the ones we’ve come across only tilt, no in/out adjustment like on some cars.
The tilt interfaces also seem to punch the helm aft as well.

My more recent thought was to make a new flat center bench seat replacement and mount an adjustable travel & swivel high back seat sort of like on a ride on lawn mower with fold up arm rests. …Just not sure how the ‘John Deere’ or ‘Cub Cadet’ logo works though

I was thinking that I’d keep the top hinge location like the existing seat but move the front edge back about 6 to 8 inches for improved leg room. Also thought about a pair of spring loaded foot pegs to the bottom of the pedestal to brace against if/when desired. An alternative would be an angled aft heavier duty hinge set to swing the seat up and back to either side depending on which hinge pin one pulls out. That way it would leave the dock side unobstructed when getting on/off.

Just sketch ideas right now as there are already too many delays this year already!
Pitched it in the ‘futurefile’ for now.
