Oh, and I still haven't pulled the boat out. Haven't even started to strip and prep it for trailering. Raining pretty good today.
Gotta get to it before the bay starts freezing over, though.

Is there some sort of distance the radar has to be from your head? Seriously, that’s a lot of radio waves buzzing near your head if you’re close to it.
Ray
Raymarine Quantum Radar gives off less radiation than a cell Phone , uses only 17watts on transmit & 7watts on standby , I also installed an on/off switch to the battery feed for the radome so as if I,m not using the radar the Radome is not comsuming batt power & as the radome is instant on requires no warm up time as it,s solid state tech. it,s not an issue,
The only reason to have this radome as high as poss. is to maxmize it,s distance range of 24 N/M , u need to b up-dating ur tech. Knowledge it,s hard I know !

Nope to that Ponldpe - (Ponald?) Like in Donald? My dad's name was Donald so I'm just wondering about your name - I thought maybe pe means P.E. (Professional Engineer) - that's what they call an engineer that gets his wet stamp over here: a PE.Ponaldpe wrote:Boat You going to connect traveler with the autopilot to auto tack the boat?
Oh well, the whole point of motorizing the traveler is so I can operate it from the helm (or anywhere else on the boat for that fact) I find the traveler very helpful in trimming the boat so I use it A LOT - so much so that I would like to be able to move it with a button.
Hey John! Is it okay if I call you Grandpa!!

Re: End of Season Blooze
I have a crack in the top of the helm seat to fix. That happened when the block on the daggerboard failed, and I landed against the seat.
After that, repack/replace all trailer bearings and brake shoes.
After that, I am thinking of replacing my galley top with Corian.
That should do it for a while. Since it's getting dark here before 5:00 these days, it limits what I can do.

Re: End of Season Blooze
I think it might be worth it to clean the raccoon stripes If I get to call the old man Grandpa - I'm thinking about it. (Anyone older than me is an "old man")
I would be VERY interested in how to do corian ("Corian" - spelling?) on the galley - I have no experience in that but would sure like guidance so I could do it too.

One of the rights of growing old is the right to be grumpy, Im sure its written in the constitution somewhere.
And as it my right, I will be grumpy whenever and wherever I decide to be

Well, one of the nice things about Highlander is that he is not grumpy even though he is "not a spring chicken" - In my case - I have no excuse - I am not even as old as Highlander yet I am grumpy.
It makes people not like me - I get what I deserve.
