I HAVE A QUESTION!

IT'S ABOUT THIS SHOWER THING!

DOES THAT SHOWER THING WARM UP WATER USING GAS?

(Is it okay to have propane on the boat?? I can't remember if we are allowed to use propane bottles of natural gas bottles or LP or whatever the heck it is inside the boat!)

Does anyone know the difference in all those gas things? Are they okay for us to have inside the boat? I wanna make a shower too.

I don't know what way to warm the water because I don't know what kind of gas we are allowed to have inside the boat.

Silver Fox Love your wood work. Nice set up. Do the Galley doors slid or open up? Is your stove propane or alcohol? Is your water heater gas a disposable propane cylinder or something else?
Boat millions of boats use propane for cooking and heating. The ABYC has codes like where the propane is stored and stuff about automatic shutoffs for propane. It seems mainly some American boaters have problems with propane.

It can sit on the cockpit seat while I shower in the head

I would NEVER have gas inside the boat, brings all sorts of problems and new equipment needed such as bilge blowers etc. and Im not sure your insurance company would be overly keen to part with their cash in case of an accident with gas

I shudder when I see people using those cheap camping Butane stoves instead of a proper spirit stove for their galley stove.

Most have a HUGE label on them "NOT TO BE USED INDOORS OR IN A ENCLOSED AREA" there is a extremely good reason for this!!!

Is waiting an extra minute or 2 for your coffee in the morning worth the risk of blowing your boat and yourself up for

Some clarification: The burner is an Origo alcohol stove. The galley doors slide. The portable water heater is hung on the door out of the way. When we take a shower, we hang it in the cockpit with the propane bottle. It's designed to be portable. We pull the water hose from behind the step. Everything is quick dry break disconnect. Oh and i use a small propane bottle, about twice as small as a 20 pounder. Thanks for the feed back guys!

Hello,
I noticed you removed the deck support tube. Has that softened the deck when walking above? can you feel it give way under your weight?

Haven't noticed any difference. it's going back up soon, but a bit off it's original location. I'll be honest, i thought it was a hand rail for going in and out of the cabin because there is only one?

Here's a link for the water heater. The water can get REALLY hot! Enough to burn you on highest setting. Nice quality, great reviews, cheap.

The shower head hose is way better than the one pictured after a few complains from customers in the past.
I think that this heater is a little gem in it's own right. My family sure as heck love it. We use it to clean dishes too.

By far the best mod I have made as yet is the Sunbrella covers for the fuel tank lockers, its so simple and quick and makes a huge difference to the look of the boat rather than seeing a couple of old weathered fuel tanks you see beautiful covers with snap locks (press studs) holding them in place, sort of completes the cockpit
