Here is a funny about the trailer brakes on our 26M trailer

I made a comment about Kia in another post:

>> I would expect the same level of quality on a $10K Kia as a $30K Mercedes <<

I was reading the trailer manual...I found out that the replacement pads for the trailer brakes are ones for a Kia Sephia.

Got a chuckle out of that :)

Wow, did they go metric? I was informed that the bearings etc, were the same as a 1965 Mustang. Our club is having a trailer clinic in two weekends, and we have experts who will be giving hands on expertise, and parts if you want to replace any item on them. I ordered about $60.00 worth of parts, and the ones I take out will be spares I keep in a box I am mounting on the trailer. One good mod is 'wet bolts' greaseable bolts for the spring perches etc. (6 total) I'll be installing them too, at that time! Good opportunity to mount that nifty flush kit that has been on the 'Round Tuit' list for way too long!

If you have any problems out there concerning axle, brakes, and bearings, ask now, and if others don't have a definative answer, I can pose them at that time!

Where did you purchase your "wet bolts," or did you fabricate them, as Chip reported long ago?
