Any chance of similar performance on a stock 26X? it would be wonderful to leave a wake like that while sailing in low wind conditions!!

Yes, you could achieve speeds very similar to what my video shows. How fast can you sail on a reach in 12-15 knots of wind? That's roughly how fast you could sail on a reach with a cruising code zero.

A code zero is specialize for close to broad reaching in light winds. Depending on wind strength, you might be able to sail as high as 55 degrees to the true wind, and as deep as 135 degrees to the true wind.

The code zero is not designed for deep running. To sail angles as deep as approximately 150 to the true wind, you'd want a Cruising Spinnaker. Or you can pole out the Code Zero like you would a genoa.

Just to give you some perspective on size and power: Our cruising code zero's generate more than one and a half times more powerful than a genoa, due to the greater size and deeper draft. The shape generates more lift and power than the biggest genoas. In size, its approximatly the same square footage as a 220% genoa would have (if we could actually build such a thing.) But in terms of power, it's about twice as powerful as a 150% genoa.

Thanks Judy. I've definitely been considering one of your CCZ sails. I wanted to ask - is there any way to set these on a furler that can be partly furled? As a duffer sailor I'm a bit nervous about handling a sail that size without the ability to let it out partially in marginal circumstances.
