But the lack of striping doesn't make it prettier, imho.

Do the awesome fenders come with the boat?

From their website they're ripping a lot of people off, from amphibious quads to jet skis, you name it. Their version of the Mac is pretty hideous. Funny they don't bother using their version in their main advertisement.

is this even legit? Did they buy the molds or something from Roger Macgregor's daughter when she gave up building the tattoo 26 and folded up her factory in Florida?

Probably reverse engineered so to speak, the differences might be enough to avoid copyrights but it's pretty obvious it's a total rip off. Hopefully people recognize that and just refuse to buy them. I know guys that have bought knock off dirt bikes and they don't last very long and ultimately aren't worth it even at half the cost.

Interesting.... wot's the unit just behind the steps - an A/C unit?

Also looks like some kind of gas strut under the cabin table!!

And that's a good point. Inferior grade fiberglass is quite possible - standing behind a product is not something many chinese companies are noted for. I remember the problems during the housing construction boom with chinese wallboard. Quite a mess. Lots of shirts lost.

Looks like they upgraded the hull fabric. That stuff roger used was dreadful.

It's really easy to make a mold off an existing boat. I've done it with cars several times. If you do it right you don't even mess up the source fiberglass.

The web site still has lots of pictures of the actual X and the M, and then pictures of their version of the (I assume) M - based on the lines and the interior layout. :?
