The date this year will be June the 17th thru the 21th.
The plans are Friday night will be the skippers meeting with a skippers dinner provided by the Pensacola Shipyard. Saturday we sail out to the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk for a day of swimming and a night of food and loud music! FUN FOR ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like last year, we will then be sailing west to sailboat cove on big lagoon and spending 2 NIGHTS ON THE HOOK THERE! That's right 2 nights! People really enjoyed this last year, so we decided to do it again this year!
Now this doesn't mean you can't pick up the hook and day sail beautiful Big Lagoon or Pensacola bay and return to the cove for the great camp fire sing along! Just offering the option to you all!
BEER has a kid, crew, boat and pet friendly open door policy for all 2 and 4 legged attendees and we don't discriminate on the basis of gender, race, national or planetary origin, religion, politics / sexual, boat or beer preference / animal breed. We even let Catalina owners attend (LOL! A little bit of humor).
As in the past, this is not a sanctioned event, each skipper will be responsible for his or her own vessel and crew. There is no cost involved for joining this group during this event. The only cost you might incur, will be the marina cost and the cost of the cookout on Friday night, if you wish to participate.

Looks like the weather gods don't like the event this year.
From Friday until Monday are thunderstorms, some of them strong, in the forecast.
I am really looking forward to BEER 2016
But I will watch the ongoing forecast and have to deside, if it is worth to trailer the boat 900+ miles to sit in @$%$# weather
What is your take on this?

Re: B.E.E.R. Cruise 2016
yes, I saw that; however, the amount of rain is never more than half an inch per day. We are getting ready to go. A couple of years ago (2013, I think) we had a bad one and we ended up spending more time on the boat and Flounder's and then going back to the Marina. That year made me gain a lot of confidence with my anchoring setup when I didn't drag.
