I just tell folks to park their rumps on the gunwale, grab the bimini with one hand, and swing their legs over and into the boat.

Blue Water Yachts has/had one. http://bwyachts.com/ Looking through their catalog I see "LADDER, BOARDING, BRACKET, LONG" part number 4406-1V0 (this is the bracket that goes on the track), but I don't see the whole ladder. I'd suggest giving them a call. Worst case you should be able to get these brackets and adapt/make a ladder.

I didn't notice that it has track mounts. Pretty nifty. And makes my suggestion moot, as that's not what the OP was asking about.

BWY, I agree, would be the place to call. If it's Mac-related, they probably know about it.

I,m tinkin thats something u can very easy mod urself just look for a similar 2 step ladder & add 2 one inch rail adapters

I am moderately pleased with it, though it is too high to be of any use when the boat sits on the trailer--and that's when I need it most. When we trailer the boat, the solar panels are stored in the cockpit which makes the aft ladder useless. It is equally useless when we beach the boat and try to leap off the pulpit onto the ground. It's too short. Storing it in the head is also a major pain in the patookus,
The only time I find it useful is to get off the boat and into the dinghy
I think that manufacturing a ladder from two sturdy ropes and wooden / plastic steps would have worked better

I don't have it here, but I think it is West Marine. Two steps, stainless steel tubing, with round "crutches"/hooks at the end that may be turned around to make the whole contraption flatter. You can hook it over the gunwales, in the cockpit, and even in the anchor pit in a pinch.

Some time ago, someone had bought or fabricated or had made a SWIM ladder that mounted on the genoa or jib tracks of a 26X. Does anyone remember this or know where to turn for one of these ladders? They were very long, 5 or 6 steps, in order to work with the high freeboard of the 26X.

Sorry March I genuinely thought he asked first and by the time I realized my mistake I had offered it to him. The main reason for getting rid of the ladder is that it is another companion way door to contend with. A rather large cumbersome, sometimes wet, sometimes dirty hard hunk of steel that has to be stowed while underway. Other than that it was really nice to have. Also make sure that it will clear your local dock before you shell out money as you may not be able to even use it.

Again, that's nice and generous of you to assume responsibility, but that member (who shall remain unnamed) must have seen my message that I was very interested, posted in plain view right below your offer. So why even make his demand?

Indeed, the boarding ladder must serve at least two other functions to make it on board Catigale.

Unless its safety equipment, which gets an easement.

We have the two J hook ladder from WM which goes over the gunnel. Only Caitlin has the upper body strength to reliably pull herself up from the water though - I can do it if my life depends on it, but it is not easy.

I think for lakes and beaching if you could find one that hung off the Genoa tracks like above and hang off the bow for beach loading then it would worth carrying. For us our old docks were much lower and it was ok having it around but everywhere else we went (higher docks) it was a hassle. The other option was right before departing run it up to the truck another PITA. So when they re-did the docks we gave ours away as there was no need anymore. Oh and sailing or powering with it was not an option as it slammed against the hull very easily.
