Rainwater in rear bunk?
Rainwater in rear bunk?
Any suggestions on how I can find the leak? I have rainwater collecting in the storage compartments under the rear bed. I think its running down the rear wall at about the center. The boat is out of the water on its trailer. I have sealed around all bolt holes in the deck with silicone grout. Maybe the self bailing drain in the cockpit is the source? Looks like the problem is in the rear somewhere. 1988 26D.

Try plugging the drain in the cockpit where it exits at the water. Then fill up that line with water and get inside and look. If you get a lot of water in the cockpit and then crawl back there make sure you have some support underneath it so you don't tail it.

Re: Rainwater in rear bunk?
I had the same issue with my M. After every rain I had water under the rear the rear bunk. During a steady rain I could see water streaming down the transom wall. The leak was at the transom to upper deck joint. My M has a piece of 90° aluminum angle stock which running horizontal under the motor bracket and across the width of the transom. There was no sealant under the angle stock to seal the joint. I caulked the entire joint with 5200 which solved the problem.

What's the condition of your rub rail? That was a major source of leaking water on my 2000 X, before I resealed the joint and replaced the worn rail.
