Looking for recommendations...

Post by henecle »

I need to get some Spring commissioning items addressed (general electical systems, outboard (Honda BF50) and a few other upgrades/issues). Anyone in the NoVA, DC, MD area able to recommend a marina that is familiar with Macs and does good work? Thanks.

Not a marina, but a dry boat yard. Olson & Durand Marine Service, 13720 Dabney Rd, Woodbridge, VA 703-490-9711. Never used them for engine work, but have been very pleased with everything else they've done for me.

Thanx for the tip! I'm in Woodbridge, so that may well come in handy. Having bought my 26X almost exactly a year ago, only taken delivery in August, and tinkering with this or that pretty much every weekend ever since, rain or shine, I am hoping to finally get her into the drink this month, once these unseasonable "chillies" move on. If you (or any other seasoned Mac owners) might care to swing by Leesylvania Park to offer moral support, or to just point and laugh safely from dockside, drop me a PM with a phone number...I'm hoping maybe next weekend or, perhaps more realistically, the one thereafter, depending on the weather. I'd also be happy to take a day off during the week, if it's more convenient, just to have someone knowledgeable around...and as much pizza as you can cram down your gullet is certainly not out of the question.
