I lucked into a Very last Minute gig playing at the main Boston Whaler booth on 3rd floor.
Come by & say hello if ur in town. Playing @ 7:30PM. Jacob Javits Convention Center.
Hopefully, I can get hired for other shows in circuit. Like Miami Boat Show?... Let's hope as I'll be in Marathon Key for February

Too busy working. Last year I put some stuff up on YouTube under Greg or Gregory Parr.
Nothing to make "America's got Talent" or "X Factor".

But at least I don't have to play behind chicken wire

Well, if you're the guy I found on youtube under either or both of those names, you're pretty good. I'm in the City on a regular basis, so I'll see if I can finagle a biz trip there when the boat show is on. For both the entertainment, and because I've never actually been to a boat show, though I've been in the Javits Center plenty of times.

It was a one day thing for me at the Javitz. But I'm hoping they'll hire me for Miami. Now I get to wait by the phone like a High schooler waiting for a date to the prom. But my waiting room will be in Da Keys

Wow! You are really good. I love the sound of guitar played simply.
Wish I could play guitar. It would be so cool to sit on the boat in the evening an strum along. I guess I could learn.

It's been years since I've been to the NY boat show. Who is the "BIG" exhibitor this year? Always seems to be some big boat that people stand in line to board.

Good catch Tom, I wrote the wrong date - my bad.

I meant January & I was already thinking ahead to playing February in Miami & combined them while typing fast. I'm such a Duh

There are a bunch of teachers on Youtube & the net. I recommend a smaller body guitar like a Yamaha or Taylor Travel size or 1/2 size guitar for playing on the boat. - Get one used, it's cheaper, look on Ebay

I had hoped to get to the exhibit early & take a look around, but this was really last minute, on that day. & after prepping, I only had time to get there in time. So I don't know who the Big Kahuna was. But the Boston Whaler exhibit, where I was, had to be a contender. They had about 6500 Sq ft to exhibit a ton of boats. Way too rich for my blood & most others. But we could dream...

It made me appreciate my Mac even more. We're on the same water for a Lot le$$ money & the wind is free...
