Interior Electric Problem
Interior Electric Problem
My second fuse panel with the cabin and sailing lights is not getting power. It looks as though the white wire that leads to the back became disconnected near the batteries. The set-up had a small plastic container with a fuse in it but the fuse is missing. Does anyone know what size fuse that requires?

Did this just happen? Mine opened up and the fuse went flying, spring loaded. I searched around and found it. Not sure what size it is, I changed all mine with a new panel.

Re: Interior Electric Problem
I've used a 5-6amp glass fuse as a replacement, and seems to work fine with interior/mast/running lights at once. You're only protecting the wire, so I'd think up to a 10amp would be fine.
If that fuse holder is original, or even if it's not, I'd just spend the $5 to replace it entirely, as when the spring tension gets old, you can get intermittent outage in bumpy weather, which isn't a whole lot of fun while trying to enter a harbor in the chop at night with no running lights.
Hope that helps...
