Prop size
What is the prop size for MACGREGOR 26x Nissan 50 D2 2002 model year? The rubber hub on the Prop on my 26x spun out. It is not practical to re-hub an aluminum prop. The size which should be stamped into the prop is obliterated and is un-readable. I wish to order a replacement but can't determine the size. Does anyone know what size prop was used when the boat was produced? The boat is a 2002 and I believe the engine is the original one.

Re: Prop size
Both sizes should be available, too big , and too small.
I have no idea, .. I just want to joke around this morning.

Re: Prop size
Do you have a) max diameter, b) max engine speed, c) reduction ratio.
All I could find on it is a max speed of 5700 or 5850 rpm, depending on the engine, and a reduction ratio of 1.846:1, but I don't know if that's correct. Max prop sizes that pop up for that OB is 12".
Based on a comparison to my BF50's (6000 rpm and 2.08:1 reduction) prop speed of 2880 rpm, and the performance I get with an 11.8" dia. x 10" pitch 3-blade Solas prop, and given your prop will spin a little faster at 3170 rpm (for the 5850 rpm engine speed), I would probably try the same prop or the 9" pitch for a lightly loaded, no-ballast boat. For more weight, like ballast in, the 9" pitch.
That's all I've got. Unless someone has the same OB, I don't think there's much you can do other than try it. Best would be a local dealer or prop shop that will let you try before you buy.

Re: Prop size
You forgot too much pitch and too little pitch.
