Posted Checklists for Mac26

Post by ralphk »

Calling upon the virtual community.

I recall from last year, a wonderful site relevant to Mac26's, that featured customizable Word downloads for a number of checklists.
There were good reminders there for winterizing, first launch, pre-trip checklist etc.

I didn't have foresight to download the documents, only the URL
WINTERIZING (26X) (EDIT ME)
http://www.trailersailing.com/clshow.asp?typeID=815

Today, trailersailing.com is blown away. Does anyone know if it has resurfaced and/or where I might recover those lists :?:

Thanks in advance.

Check out the lists on Duane Dunn's site:

http://www.ddunn.org/Boating.htm

Lists are in PDF format, but you can edit them with free downloadable PDF editors. (Not super easy, but doable)

Why kill yourself.. just use the 'Select Text' feature of the Adobe Reader, then copy and paste into MS Word... then edit as you like. (BTW, using Paste Special" instead of "Paste" sometimes works better - depends on how it was formatted).

Well I'll be gummed!! I using PDF's for ciphering insurance rate pages here at work for years and by golly I never noticed that feature. Adobe lacks the standard look and feel.

Wow! Now that'll be handy! Never think of pickin' something like that here. Why I can straight plagiarize now.

I think you need the PDF editor if you want to import the form as well. In the case of Duane's lists, I agree the text import is probably the simplest way.

www.trailersailing.com checklists

That (www.trailersailing.com) used to be my site. Since I'm also the webmaster for New England Trailer Sailors, I took down the site and moved all of the functions like checklists to www.ne-ts.com. However, they were moved into the members-only section, as a member benefit/ We're talking $10 for a year to join NE-TS, so its a great value.

So, checklists were move into the members section, as were the journal maker and the float plan maker.

All the best,

It works better in Appleworks.

Of course, sailing and computing are both better on a Mac.

On top of the small $10 to join NETS, you get the $10 back towards Boat US membership as a reciprocal member....great deal!!
