An understatement, as this was to be my big trip of the summer.
On the off-off-chance I drive myself up for the day, Highlander will have to add a Lithuanian to his multicultural amalgamation.
This is getting better with cold nights , so the more the better to keep warm & cozey , no bunks in my boat so may have to stack some bodies !
Ross getting tipsy automatically gets U Cabin Boy Status ! so bring lots of Scotch
Hi Tom ur welcome to crew on my boat & we'll squeaze U in somewhere even if U do not make Cabin Boy status !
If I get a couple of crew I'll try flying four head sails @ once as they r all on furlers so I may need some rail meat hanging over the side
Hi all. It looks like you may have another Mac to join your rendezvous this weekend. If all goes well the admiral and I should be in lagoon city tomorrow evening. Look forward to seeing you.
Cheers
Kevin
Those illegal bonfires are the best...The temperature dropped quite a bit last night...so how does it look up there? Looks like we'll have 5 boats up there. John will be joining us a little later with his boat I hope (lets keep our fingers crossed). I'm aiming to be there for 11.
Geoff I hope you and Leon didn't party it up too much last night, are you still aiming to be there by noon?
Yes it got a bit nippy last night. The bonfire and red wine helped out;)
But ohhhhh was it boiling in our black van this morning. I eventually had to lay out on th grass!
Saw a Mac on the free wall.... Who could it be?
What is everyones slip number? Hopefully we are close by!
Also a word of caution when launching your boat.... Watch out for the balcony of the building beside the ramp with your mast lol!
Saturday is our Christmas in July BBQ at the club. The Admiral is helping out, so won't bail on it for MMOR. Sunday would be a possibility if we actually had a tow vehicle. (That's going to present a challenge in our upcoming end-of-July cruise out of Gananoque.)
Hey everyone! Hope the sail was nice....we decided to anchor and take a dip to, er, rehydrate and it turned into a lazy day for us. Watched you all sail out in the distance. We loaded up and headed to Orillia (we REALLY should do the next meet there! OMG!) for some patio goodness....and then booted it home to avoid any possible rain. Wanted to say goodbye to everyone....will do that here....
We had a blast!!!! Thanks everyone for the wonderful evening and sharing that crazy bonfire! It helped me to cheer up, as one of my beloved (and sick) pets died on our way up there Thursday afternoon. I was devastated. A sweet orange canary that I have been hand feeding, etc. Yeah....sucks:-(
Anyhoo, I am going to try and convince Bryan to drive back up there maybe this week before everyone leaves!
Have fun and CHEERS!
Home safe! Thanks a lot for making such a great and memorable meetup!
Nobody does it like the MMOR group! We'll be thinking of you still up there over the week while we attend to our chores. Housed showed today, shortly before we got home - things look promising.
