Queens birthday in Mooloolaba

Post by sunshinecoasting »

Well they tell me whales have been seen heading north already so I'm sailing the three days over next weekend. I'm going to take my heavy fishing tackle and trawl for some Spaniards while looking for the big fella's, booked in to the marina so all good to go. I hope I dont really catch a big Spaniard, I wouldn't have a clue how to land it on my Mac :-) Maybe I'll see another Mac out there this weekend? Cheers Dennis.

Hey Dennis,
I think I saw you out at Maloolooaba on Sat and Sunday.
I was in a mMc 26s. You may have seen it on the trailer near the north ramp . Weather could have been better but had a good morning on Sunday. Main and Genoa reefed.
You were heading out whilst we were heading in on Sunday morning.
The Etchells had a ball I believe.

Hey Rick, yes that was me, I gave you a wave. I did see your boat on the trailer Sunday arvo, walked over to say hello but it was all locked up and nobody home. I spent three days on the water, Saturday was the pick of the days, just superb, Sunday a bit gloomier Monday (today) was cold and windy, 2 meter swell, we sailed around the harbour area trawling but no luck, wind and waves got the better of us so we headed home by 1 pm, I love the new jetties they put in at the ramps, made retrieval soooo easy in the strong winds, i was able to walk the boat on to the trailer. Managed to have a lovely weekend with my daughter though, wife stayed home as she had shift work.
