Well, day 3 of watching tiny tidbits at a time with horrible internet. I am working in the Atacama desert in Chile with Internet that can barely open the forums let alone watch the movie!

I have made it to the part where the warship calls...the suspense is killing me, I can't wait to finish work tomorrow and get back to see the next 30 seconds!!!!

Thanks boat, I am getting days of entertainment from that ! :D :macm:

haha, your are correct, it's copper....but I am sure they are keeping their eyes open for gold too. I'm a helicopter pilot and I am dragging a giant "mag bird" under the machine scanning the ground. It looks like a 100' diameter hula-hoop hanging 150' under the helicopter on a longline. A giant metal detector.

Yup, a Canadian in Chile I figured you must have been one of those big shot geological engineers of something like that. I'm at the other end - I'm the guy that works for the places that buy all that copper. I watch the commodities very carefully and Chile is on the top of my list. You guys are probably all dealing more with Chinese now I guess than Yanks. Oh well, we had our day in the sun I guess.

Interesting....nope I am just the driver going back and forth up and down the lines...I think the client is Canadian. The geolgical survey company is my direct client and they are Canadian.

There is sure a lot of mining history down there, I fly over so many ruins of old mines, grave yards, small towns, all abandoned....very interesting mining history here I expect.

If you find a huge pile of new copper out there make sure you sell your copper and petroleum futures before you let on - you can almost track the price of brent crude to the penny by just watching the price of copper and you can predict the price of copper by counting new holes in the ground.

I will try to get you guys a new video out as soon as I get my tow vehicle back. I know you folks can't wait for winter to end - I hope I can make it easier for you all. I should be back in the boat in about 4 weeks - if the truck is not done by then I'm gonna put a trailer hitch on my 740iL !! :D

I would say that we could start our own troll thread but what would we discuss since none of us trolls know how to do anything  :P

Hey cptron,

You know how to do something very useful that I have not. You have installed Captain Victors AP in your toothbrush pedestal? Did it take up a lot of room?
Here is a picture of my pedestal where I installed a selector switch to control the bow vent. Do you think that switch will get in the way of the AP? (The switch is about three inches deep):

Now that you mention it, I can do all three (planes, not hee-lee-clip-ters, though I did take a few lessons in an R-22). :D

Can't weld aluminium, not with my 230A AC-only buzz box that I bought in high school and have dragged around with me for the last 40 years, but maybe some day. Sure would come in handy for work on the boat. Hmmmmmm. Now you've got me thinking. Never a good thing. :P

And here I sit waiting for warmer weather,
so I don't risk an ice cube in the ballast
tank...

That sounds fun - perhaps you could bring that flying ring over here and degauss my CRT TV.

Holy thread drift - you guys are touching on about a hundred interesting topics but
A talent we all share is we all know how to harness the wind. Supposedly.

The only thing That it might be in the way of is if your rack is on the port side it will have to be switched to the starboart and then you will have to move switch over a little bit. If your rack is on the starboard side already then you should not have any problems. If you do have to switch the rack then don't forget to revearse the cable down below also or your steering will be backwards. This mod is alot easier than it sounds and if you have any questions let me know. I'kk trade my knowledge of and post this mod if you post yours back to let me know how to do it.
