Agreed,
We need help from Judy or other people here on the site to help us pick out the right kind of spinnaker. Since we MAC people seem to love the broad reach so much maybe an asymmetrical spinnaker would be the right thing for us??
I do not have a lot of experience with a kite – when I was a kid my dad would give me rides on one he flew off our boat but aside from that I think my knowledge of how to fly a MODERN kite is way out of date. (Whisker poles and lazy jacks and all that stuff is not really the norm anymore they tell me).
Obviously my education needs updating. (I don’t even remember the existence of an asymmetrical spinnaker when I was a kid).
I know the sail would help a lot running directly downwind, Would a kite make the MAC faster on a broad reach?
