Keeping the dew out is a big bennie when watching movies on the iPad at night. Do you get good leaf turning there in October? That sounds like a great trip and one we still have on our list.

Late October is a little early for peak color, however, it's pretty good. Come join us.

SO hey Tim !! It looks like the count of interested tenn, river gathering participants is up to 6 and counting. Perhaps we should start a new thread that lets the forum see this topic and post.

Hi Tim: I personally would leave Table Rock Lake off your list.. All But.. None existant sailing is ONE of the reasons why we took that area OFF our short list for places to retire. " Canyon" Lakes are just , most often NOT condusive to sailing.. Beaver Lake AR. is a good sailing Lake and there is a Lake N>W of Table Rock that has a lot of sailing..

I would be interested in this. Ilive in Tuscaloosa/Northport.The Guntersville,Al area or Joe Wheeler camp ground would be great locations. All on Tenn. river, fairly centrally located. think my e-mail is available on this site if you would like to follow up on this idea.

I would like to see it on the Tenn River , as well . It would be better to have it on a navigable waterway so everyone will have the option of trailering or cruising to it .
We are presently docked in Apalachicola Municipal Marina . This weekend there is a C-Dory rendezvous being held here . Already (Tuesday) the trailers are arriving .
We talked to couple from S Dakota . They trailered here .

Re: Mid-South Macgregor 26X or M owners
I started a new thread specifically aimed at
&
owners regarding a TN River gathering. The "forum police" promptly moved it to "Events and Destinations". Since these forums are routinely read by any number of sailing enthusiasts who own many different kinds of boats; I deleted the thread.
There are countless numbers of sailboats and owners within close range of the TN River area. I have no desire to stage an event open to all brands and boats of all shapes and sizes.
My intent was to meet and exchange ideas with like minded people with similar boats.

T,
I don't think you'll have anything to worry about. I've done a couple of events and I honestly think that you'll see only Macs showing any real interest. I'd repost and move forward. If you get a stray this and that, it won't make a difference. We're all sailors at heart. And if a stray this or that signs up, look at it as a recruiting opportunity

To accomplish what I set out to do the thread needs to be in this forum.
The police have established it does not belong here, so I will just move on. If someone else wants to take the lead more power to them.

Lets keep working on it even if its under this posting .

Re: Mid-South Macgregor 26X or M owners
The thread was intended as a planning tool for a Tennessee River weekend outing for
and
owners.
It was a long way from being a scheduled event!
To move the thread arbitrarily to "Events and Destinations" before it ever became an event is pretty hard to fathom (for me at least), and shows a remarkable lack of judgment.
