I installed a washdown pump. Pump is inside.
White coiled hose to a spray nozzle.
Black hose drops over the transom for an intake when I want to use it. Strainer on end of intake hose.

No thru hulls. Works great. One of the best mods.

Thank all who is not indifferent, has especially surprised and has pleased,
Almost everyone has told words in Russian. A good site, a good society of people.
The idea about salty water, is good.
I thought of it when have tried to catch a squid!
Each time when I lifted a bucket of water behind a board to wash off ink from a deck! :D
And now I study diving, It is necessary to wash a suit for diving, after immersing by fresh water.
It is possible to apply two ways simultaneously.
I wait for a photo of the decision on fresh water and soul on a deck.
I shall prepare photos mine boats and area of navigation and I shall lay out on a site.

Thank

G'day Tiger and welcome
We have a 100l aluminium tank installed in the bow under the vee berth which is split into two seperate tanks but it is only filled when needed, also have a 120l bladder under the vee berth but it only holds possibly 100l these are both hooked up to an electric 45psi pump with a seperate tap at the galley, we kept the old one in case of power shortage.
With this setup we can pull water from outside or it can be bought in under pressure, the inlet can become a stern mounted shower or pressure washer and any or all tanks can be used or just the old manual tap can extract water at the galley possibly from outside but haven't tried to pull that far with it.
If interested can send some pictures, but installing the front tanks is very labor intensive and difficult especially if you want to reuse all the foam.
Note by sealing the valves in the front tanks it means that space is still available for positive flotation as they are then watertight.

We also have an aft washdown station on Chameleon. It also comes in handy for a makeshift shower, albeit somewhat cool without a water heater. The tap allows us to remove the hose and still maintain a pressurized system to keep things tidy on an already crowded stern.

Raise this with Main Halyard - instant shower - I actually wear my shorts and dont use the tiny tent but the girl has nice Boobs and I thought everyone would appreciate that!

(this is in no way a recommendation on solar shower brands seriously I just liked the girl and the tiny tent is sort of spiffy)

I also installed a washdown system. The thru hull is best located under the rear seat (at the table), just outboard of the ballast tank. The hull is about 3/4 inch hick here. I mounted the pump on the bulkhead, next to my freshwater system pump and ran the outlet to the port side aft under the helm seat. Make sure you install a ball valve on top of the thru hull.

BTW, location of the thru hull is as recommended by the Mac Factory sales people.

Was planning on jabsco? Wash down kit from wm. but after reading reviews I have my doubts. Most are just over or around two hundred bucks but I don't want to have to replace it every two years. Any comments on brands. I think I'd do a stern mount with an above water thru hull. Around the transom and run the feed hose through the rubber gasket for the engine controls and drop it down off the stern rather than a below waterline thru hull. Too many extras to add and possible problems. Also this would just feed an external cockpit wash down and nothing inside. Again, any experiences with brands? Models ect? Read wm's reviews and some were good but not details and the detailed ones were ok at best. Thanks again.

Not an M, but I have a 30g bladder that lays under the fwd seat and table. A jabsco 32700 mounted under aft seat on lower head wall. Washdown at transom and pressure at galley sink. Its seen pretty heavy use over two years and no issues yet. I've only run fresh water from the bladders, so can't say how it will hold up to saltwater. I did rig up a series of valves and a hose that I can drop thru the ballast vent hole in case I need to get off ground, but haven't had to pump the ballast yet  knock wood. The pump puts out a serious stream at the transom.
Washdown model has no surge suppression, but is very tolerable.
