I don't have much time for forums like that but by gory I'll take on any one of them even Perry, and jam an Egret (Commodore Monoe), black skimmer(Boldger) or Double A (Piver) so far up their real boat that they wouldn't row straight for a week. Going to call that black skimmer with her solid wood spars and tanbark sails not a real boat? Of course they'll pound your teeth out on a chop and the leeboards where awkward. Prudent sailors use the boat where its supposed to be. Boldger had some fantastic and really unusual stuff. I'm a big fan of his. Anyone can hang a huge chunk of lead off a forty foot piece of inch thick glass. HAHAHA then its a real boat because it can run over icebergs? I've sailed em drawn em and was too broke and then too smart to build em. A real boat is anything that gets you out on the water in a way that works for you. Btw I see peaches is loose on the internet

Heh SA. So that was Perry huh? Cool. A valiant 40 is indeed a real boat. Draws too much for my use. Real boats indeed.

Yeah - and I noticed in the same thread that Bob Perry also has his perception of stay diameter physics... "right".But on the topic of Macs...here is Bob Perry's quote himself...
"Roger MacGregor knew exactly what he was doing and he did it well.
So scoff away but when you do you might consider the thoudsands of sailors who have enjoyed his boats.
So, you don't like is boats?
To quote Dr. Frankenfurter, "I didn't build him for you!" "
Ill defer to Bob on this one.......

My God. I *DO* hope you were using the US definition of 'pants' and not the UK definition!!Highlander wrote:OK some of us have seen u in pants we will speculate this all went down with the guy in the black pantyhose !! if u insist on posting pic's please wear a blonde wig ! as I am partial to Blonde Bomb'S !Catigale wrote:I know more about stays than Bob since I cross dress sometimes...![]()

LOL the last page of posts!(Side note - where, exactly, did we completely lose the plot on Mac's ceasing production?)
Hey Kevin! Weren't you going to "end" this thread a while back? Just look at what we all would have missed!
I had no idea of the "pants" alternate use in UK.

That's quite an outfit Highlander.
I've been told that the reason men wear the pants is because of how easy that garment made riding a war horse. For sailing I suppose it wouldn't matter.
