Hi,
what is an easy way to take off the boot stripe on my 26S ? It is not painted but looks like a thick vinyl tape. It is starting to look badly hacked now.
How do you take off the boot stripe

I replaced mine. Used a heat gun, carefully to soften the old brittle boot stripe tape. Be careful to not apply too much heat though. Then I wiped it down with acetone prior to applying the new stripe.

A Hair Dryer on High will also do the trick without worrying about scorching/burning anything. I would also recommend a plastic putty knife. This has worked great for me in the past.

What is a "boot stripe"? I have a 26S, but I don't think I have a boot stripe.
