Nice photo Henry, you have a beautiful boat. I have been able to make it up to Stockton a couple of times with a friend on his Tartan 34. Still need have not had my up Bayfield yet. Need a little more experience and equipment.
I miss seeing those red sails on Minnetonka, don't miss the traffic. We are the ones with the Blue a couple years back. We are down on lake Pepin in Hansen's Harbor now. The drive to the slip is less time than the drive to Minnetonka and set up. Get it out a lot more.
I think you are the one that took one of my favorite pictures of Chiquita as Devon and I were overtaking you:
I like that picture so much that I had it imprinted on a CapitalOne credit card. I tell people I spend so much money on my boat that she has her own credit card!
I haven't taken Chiquita anywhere but Minnetonka in about 15 years. When my girls were young we used to go up to the Apostle Islands every summer for a two week vacation. The four of us ventured out to all of the islands eventually and even made a couple of trips from Duluth to Bayfield. We also made a number of trips out to Green Bay and the Door County peninsula on Lake Michigan. Our little 23 footer has about 1/4 the interior volume of your M but the pop top made her liveable.
I haven't been to Pepin for a long time either. Spent a week there with our old Venture 21 that we had before kids. It is a very nice place to sail.
I hope to make some modifications to the trailer and get a decent tow vehicle during the next year so I can start trailering again. I really, really, really want to go to the Lake Havasu get together next year.
