At the Portland boat show I was asking for the best to get for our boat and was told the Raymarine (sport) but a little checking found this:

..I was a victim, that what it looked like:

I lost my friend when I was sailing single handed on the Baltic Sea. :(

It took me about one year to get my substitude. I changed to the SPX Wheel Pilot. Here are both installations.

Comparing both:
The big advantage of the Sport Pilot was: engagement by one press on the controller, no mechanical clutch to be operated, it was looking better :)
The disadvantage: Space between the steering seat and the wheel was decresed by about 4 inches, aditional play of the steering around the vertical axis

As long it was working I was very pleased with the SP X 5 Sport Piöot.
