America's Cup World Series
Anyone else going? Meet with me and give up help and advice about where and when? I'll take the special edition black hull Mac 26M. Launch at Shelter Island, anchor by SWYC maybe. Eat fine food at ?? Watch boat Fri, Sat and Sun. Need some smart and savy photo person to make some snapshots/video for this fine site, maybe also my website. Launch your Mac and we'll have a flotilla.

Rick,
Come east and pick up my M. It's just sitting in my driveway. Enjoy!

I'll be there at least part of the time since I live right here, although I'm going to get a good look at the crowding and craziness before I decide whether or not to put in. I've got a great camera and I'd be happy to shoot for you if you want. I like Humphry's for dinner--great restaurant and walk to the launch ramp. You've got my number in your sales docs so give me a call or PM me and we'll get together.mikelinmon wrote:Anyone else going? Meet with me and give up help and advice about where and when? Thinking there will be enough room for daysailing to see the cats. Not sure yet what Roger's plans are, all depends on that, also one of our dealers is supposed to sail w us, don't know when. Re: America's Cup World Series
There did not appear to be that much crowding in the Bay on Sunday--definitely room to get pretty close to the action before the coast guard and harbor patrol start yelling at you. They kept a cordon about 50 yards from the race at closest approach.

Anyone have any more info about ACWS? Boat launch crowds, etc. I'll launch on Fri AM.

Re: America's Cup World Series
I watched a little bit of the stuff on youtube, in 720p it looks pretty good. Kinda hard to share the experience with friends though "hay man want to come over to my house sunday for the big game?" LOL
There was a a set of races that involves all 9 boats, they where pretty interesting. Between that , and daydreaming about owning a mac one day - I don't know how I get anything done.

Very envious!
Wish I could join you guys but have an ocean and a continent to cross before I can even think about it. The Mac is fast . . . but not that fast
Unless someone designs the Rocket Power Trailer Sailor, Mac-I ('I' for Ikaros)
Enjoy! Enjoy! Enjoy!
