IFO (identified flying objects) Buzzing Our Sailboat At Dusk

Post by GaryMayo »

Rare event captured at sunset with the moon looking on.

This was our second time out at night. More fun than in the daytime. Little harder ticking away into slip, but no big deal.

There were three IFOs.

Nice video

Just a passing comment, I noticed slight kinks in your shrouds. It looks like they may need tensioning. just something to check on as loose shrouds can do a lot of damage due to impact loading.

What Greg Trout said about your shrouds. Neat video!

When we lived in San Felipe, Baja, Mexico on the Eldorado Ranch, we had a guy who flew one of those over the pool every day and he would eventually land on the beach and truck it away. We always thought he was NUTZO :!: I watched him land a few times and don't know what kept him out of the Sea of Cortez - - - he came close to landing in the water several times :?

When the boat comes off the water, I have a whole sack of hardware that goes on her, along with tuning projects to be performed. The stays are pretty loose.
