Fitting roller reefing main system to standard boom

Post by mastreb »

I bought the Inmon roller reefing main furler on Ebay, but looking at it I'll be damned if I can figure out how the mainsail attaches to it and how it attaches to the boom. I'd really appreciate advice or pictures from someone who owns one.

Do you have only a bunch of parts?

I own a prototype system. I believe its very similar to Mike's current design. If you could arrange to bring your boom and the parts to Riverside, (70 miles), I'm sure we could figure out how to put it all together. I don't have detailed photos.
I believe the completed assembly is about 11 feet long.

You can send me a PM with your phone number and I'll give you directions.

Otherwise, you might consider contacting Mike directly.
