New to the board
I like what I have read over the last few weeks and finally thought i would give something back for all the great hours spent reading here.
I have a 2004 mac 26m With lots of mods and will share those in the future. Live in Long Beach Calif. the mac is in marina del rey mast up storage( great place) I go out almost every week end and Constantly think of ways to improve, modify Our mac. Just a little tibbit, stainless steel BBQ west marine over 200 dollars + extra for the mount.
Wall mart George Forman stainless with warming shelf, My own mount 69.00 dollars. Anyway I have Lines led aft, sail slugs, rail seats, 13 gallon water bag, electric pump and the latest was installing the electric gate valve opener. Will see how long it lasts in salt water. Anyway would like to toss in my two cents once in awhile I hope you enjoy what I post/ comment about. Thanks Mike

Welcome!
Always nice to hear from a new Mac owner!
I have a 2004 M, also. Really look forward to hearing your thoughts on the stern rail seats, I didn't get them (yet) but am still very interested!
Welcome!!

Welcome!
I'd be interested in that George Foreman mount also. I have the EXPENSIVE one, and would like to throw it overboard...it can be a pain! It came as an option on the boat, so I'll try and get used to it!
I think that the LP tank and reg have been in the briney so many times I'd better attach a permanant lanyard. I have attached a small line for that purpose. And THEN, it never stays lit! Gotta babysit it the whole time! Meals take forever....OK, I'm done!
So, Hmm, maybe a George Foreman is in my future!
So....anybody interested in a SS BBQ.....uhh, seen little use, and it just collects dust !

Stern rail seats look and great and do give you more choices as to hanging a dingy motor 500 bucks a bit high but bwm was right about easy install.
The powered valve: so far so good it needs to be installed backwards (front facing back) but bolts right on. Mine has an led that tells you when the valve is open even the slightest bit so thats good. as to it lasting in salt water or any water for a long period of time I dont know yet. I did 5200 every possible place water could enter and used goop on the screws that let you open it by hand. I will keep an eye on it for awhile and do have the manual valve handy if I need to change it.
The BBQ mount was made from a kids scooter, stainless and alum. dont laugh it does work and doesnt look cheap. Ill post a photo soon.
Thanks people for making me feel welcome and a lot of the fun with the mac is sharing the countless hours we spend thinking of improving it. I have some great ideas on almost everything in the boat when I get done my 30 thousand dollar mac will have cost as much as a 38 foot hunter!!!!

I am also interested on how your electric valve holds up. I installed one this winter, but wont be able to try it out until the season starts in late April, (I envy you warm weather guys). I was curious on how you mounted the switch? Since mine is not waterproof, I mounted it underneath a waterproof electrical cover on the left side of my pedestal.

The switch was mounted on the front side of the ped. gooped it up but the company that makes the valve makes a water proof switch. I plan to get it, replace the one on the ped. and install the old switch on the vent cone in the bow. Thats if the valve doesnt crap out in a couple months. The idea to do this came from this web site
