Sailing DVD's

Post by dlandersson »

Anyone have any thought on the Sailing technique DVD's available (like on netfix)?

Or should I simply stick to Mutiny of the Bounty (the Brando release)? 8)

Try Captain Ron, very funny movie.

To learn how to sail how about joining your local sailing club and going out as crew, the hands on approach of a couple of races will teach you more than most DVD's can.

Roger, done that already. Idea is not so much to learn but to improve beyond the very basic level. 8)

Not sure of your experience level. Have you tried any of the "how to sail" books? I really learned a lot from them...and then I followed up the several books with a three-day ASA Sailing Course.

Good Luck,

DLAndersson,

Coming to Chicago for the Blues Festival, go with us, then we will take your's or my X out and sail the hull out of it, have some fun and talk like pirates but be above the rest since we are Mac'ers. Anyway, you know more than you think, it's just doing it that will get you beyond where you think you are at this point. 8)
