Pacific Blue Bimini on White Hull
Anyone have a pix of a white hulled Mac with a Pacific Blue bimini to share? My foresail cover, mainsail cover and wheel cover are all Pacific Blue sunbrella fabric. Now I'm getting ready to add BWY's stern rail seats and so I'm going to pull the trigger on their larger bimini. I'm toying with the idea of getting a Pacific Blue bimini to match the other canvas but don't have an idea of how the boat would look.
Thanks,
Bob

Of greater importance is how the bimini would look in a different color with everything else being Pacific Blue. Make all covers the same color. There will be plenty of times when all are visible at the same time.

Here's my X done up in blue. Hope that helps some.

I'm having a new bimini done locally. I'm tired of the blue (nothing wrong with it, I'm just ready for a change). I'd really like to go with a burgundy but my sail covers are in great shape and I don't really want to replace them. Burgandy and blue... yech. So I may punt and get a dark gray bimini instead.

There you go

My personal preference is all black. It goes well with the black & white colors of the boat, and no, the seat cushions are not hot to sit on because they are Sunbrella.

If you already have the pacific blue for your mainsail cover and other canvas, the new Bimini would look great in the same color. What some people do to tie in the blue color with the boat is put a name on each side of the boat in the same color. We would be happy to send you the bimini and the stern rail seats. Just give us a call. Cheryl, Blue Water Yachts

Hey Guy's, does anyone have dimensions for their biminis? I have an X. Is 6 feet long and 42" high about right?

Re: Pacific Blue Bimini on White Hull
In Florida, a Bimini is not a option, it's a mandatory item. The BWY Bimini is the largest and provides shade for all in the cockpit. Pacific Blue is the most common color and that saved me a wait when having the Sunbrella sewn onto my Genoa. Any other color would have required it be ordered, they stock Pacific Blue.
Given how well my Black Stripes are doing in the Florida sun, I would avoid that color.
Up north, it may be different.

Re: Pacific Blue Bimini on White Hull
I'd love to give X dimensions but mine is non standard since I've got an arch that the bimini ties into. Upside is I have standing headroom under the bimini. The downside is it's so high up the amount of shade it provides is diminished.

Re: Pacific Blue Bimini on White Hull
Thx Brian. That was one of the things I've been concerned about. Lenght is the other. It seems to me that the standard 6' would be too long and cover the entire cockpit. I'm thinking about a 42" high one. 5' lengths are hard to find. At least at a cost a poor sailor can afford.
