We finally used the head shower mod last weekend with a Colman hot water heater. Three of us took showers. One of the kids is a larger guy (football player). All of us had no problems sitting on the Porta Potty rinsing off.
The transom shower also worked great. We used the filtered water for drinking an easily cleaned dishes with the high pressure water system.
I originally installed all this stuff because it was a challenge. I really was not sure if we would use the water system mod. I would do it again with out hesitation.
We had to run the Billy AC mod due to rain and a closed up boat.

How can you drain it ?

If you check out his mod link it shows. He installed a sump well (plastic tray) with a bilge pump under the head with a drain. Very simple and I love the elegance of its simplicity.
The M doesn't have a space under the head for such an arrangement that I can tell. Another advantage of the X head design IMO.
How do you keep the blige pump from pumping water from the sump into the sink ?
I am planning to build a sump pump similiar to yours . I was thinking I would need a check valve in the sink drain to keep the water from backing up into the sink .
No check valve required. The water take the path of least resistance.
Missing is the final picture of the sink connection. You need to make a "drain loop" were the pump water goes above the T connection up behind the sink then around and down into the T (like a dishwasher drain loop). When the pump quits the last bit of water is siphoned out so the float switch does not stay on. See high resolution DOS graphics below (periods used for place holder due Forum software removing spaces). I'll add the digital picture after this weekend.

The tube from the bilge pump must loop higher than the sink then go to the Tee below the sink ?
I want to make sure I get this right because I also want to install a bilge pump in the stern and let it go out thru the hull where the outboard well drains .
FWIW, I connected my builge pumps to the sink drains, with a loop, and had an incident where my took on several gallons of water. I had a sailing newby with me and asked her to get something from the cabin. She turn around after opening the hatch and asked if the carpet was suppose to be floating . After that incident, I changed my mind on that mod. I'm going to run the builge pump hoses aft to the area near the engine and through the hull. They will drain on deck near the stern. BTW, I had that mod in place for several months before it ever became a problem.

What happened ? Did it siphon back to the sump pump ?
On that day we maintained a steady coarse and we were heeling over allot. I believe it back filled from the starboard side. I stopped and pumped the water out with no problem. For a while I used a shut off valve, but I later decided to simply run the drain lines aft. There should never be a problem with that mod.
