On my 98' 26X trailer, one of the Hub Drum's failed, and I need to find a replacement. I called MacGregor Factory yesterday, and spoke with a "Capt. Mike", who has no idea what the size, part number nor can he provide a suggested replacement vendor(this is very disconcerning!!!). He said that guy who knows all that stuff just retired 2 weeks ago, and there went all of the Factory's working knowledge. I have the bearing sizes written down, however I am not 100% sure of the Hub size, when I am looking it up in the Champion Trailer Parts catalog. Does anyone out there have any suggestions?

Re: Wheel Hub Replacement
What is your hub now, disc brake hub, drum brake hub or no brake hub, just a hub. Sounds like it might be a drum if I understood your post. If you inner bearing is a 1 inch ID and the outer a 1 1/16 od then that is very common and if you don't have brakes then about any hub for that axle bearing diameter size should work. If the hub is also the brake drum or disc rotor then things are going to get more complicated. If that is the case I'd talk to one of the tech guys/gals at champion with some measurements, such as the back spacing from where the wheel mounts to where the brake pads need to be located and if a drum the dia. of the drum or the dia. of the rotor if it is disc.
Good luck,

Doesn't the 26x have a 3500# axle? My trailer has a 3500# axle and I'm thinking the inner bearing is a 1 3/8" and outer is 1 1/16".

Your are right I messed that up. I just made a new 3500 lb. axle and thought I knew the measurements off the top of my head. Looks like I was wrongflynfol wrote:Doesn't the 26x have a 3500# axle? My trailer has a 3500# axle and I'm thinking the inner bearing is a 1 3/8" and outer is 1 1/16".
