Galley Tip Out Drawer

Post by Doug91mac26s »

When I relocated my batteries from under the sink, along with a 1,2 or both battery switch, and a volt meter, I was left with two large holes which I needed to find a solution to.

I installed a large ice chest into the countertop, that left me with a narrow space in between. So I decided to use one of those tip out kits you can get at any harware store. They're normally used in the kitchen in the house for tip out drawers in front of the kitchen sink.

Once I cut out the large hole I needed, I then used stainless steel bolts to attach oak wood blocks. Then I attached the hinges in the same fashion you would in the house. It worked so good, I'd recommend this mod to anyone wanting a little more storage space where there's only a little room behind.
