I just bought a 1982 Macgregor 25. It is on a 2 wheel trailer. What is the best way to keep the trailer from tipping back when getting in the cockpit of the boat?
Thanks,
Geoff

Re: Tippy Trailer
I just put 2 jack stands at the rear of the trailer. I also put one up front in case the jack on the trailer slips. Haven't had a problem yet.

Re: Tippy Trailer
Jackstands are a good idea.
I've always used a concrete block, placed at the center of the rear "V" on the trailer. Jackstands would be much easier to use, though, and likely more stable. I just may have to change my methods, haha.

Re: Tippy Trailer
On our previous sail boat with old trailer, we used the safety chain at the tow hitch. It was locked onto a gal loop concreted into a block in the ground directly under the tow hitch. This device served 2 purposes, theft security & stopped the trailer overtilting (with a little slack).
The later trailer had a heavier ball weight so didn't tend to tilt. From memory, the ball weight recommended was 150kg.
