Hi:
I'm hoping that someone with access to their

can help me out. Spirit of the Wind is in Florida and I'm still in Canada until February. I'm making a main hatch cover (the horizontal one) out of Sunbrella with reinforcing arches out of sail batten material (I have 36 feet of batten). The idea is to wedge the ends of the battens into the slot of the hatch tracks and create an arch about 6 inches high so that the headroom in the cabin is roughly what it would be with the solid hatch. ( The solid hatch would remain in the open position.) A similar Sunbrella cover with batten reinforcements will replace the vertical hatch. The only dimension I'm missing is the horizontal distace between the inside edges of the hatch tracks so I know where to melt and bend the battens.
This is purely for privacy while sleeping aboard as I have a full enclosure and will retain the solid hatches so that I can lock the boat when nobody's on it.
I'd really appreciate it if someone lucky enough to have access to their boat this time of year could measure this distance for me. I thought of posting this in Mods but I'm really looking for the measurement; not describing a mod. (I'll post pics of the finished product in Mods once I've installed it.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Bob Cameron
