Sailing This Weekend

Post by TexasDan40 »

Well I'm finally going to get a good day of sailing in. The weather forecast is outstanding for Kemah, Tx.

Hope to see a few of the other Mac's out on the water.

I actually will have to do a lot of motoring breaking in my new 2010 Tohatsu 50HP according to the owners manual...should take about 3 hours they say.

I'll probably motor out to the end of the ship channel jetties...

...then sail her back to Red Fish Island. If I can talk my wife into it, we'll drop the hook and spend the night with my two boys. I'll bring my guitar and have a little worship chapel Sunday morning on the boat.

Enjoy your weekend.

Me too first time with the new tow vehicle, I'm so excited. Our club is actually having a race so there will be a bunch of Macs on San Diego Bay

SUNDAY! SUNDAY! SUNDAY!

Winds ENE at 16, air temp 80 deg F, water temp 74 deg F. The St Johns river is going to be jamming. We have a home game (Go Jags!) and a great weather forecast. Any takers? I'll be leaving Julington Creek as early as possible and heading downtown to the Landing.

Strong winds, cool drinks and an amazing chance to enjoy NE Florida's waters. What more do you need?

If you missed the first annual Jax Macs get together and were too scared for the Halloween sail this is your chance to make up for it! C'mon NE Fl man up and lets sail!

Sorry Jim, just trying to pimp the system and get people motivated. I will be sailing by your boat though :P .
Are you still stopping through in Jan?

Sunday's predicted high at Annapolis will be in the mid-60's, and this is the last weekend before Casa Rio Marina closes its ramp ... worth a go!

Sounds good to me. Our high today in Kemah, Tx is about 81.
But a light jacket, pair of sun glasses, and a warming adult beverage while aboard Bossa Nova will get your head right before winter.

John,

Arrive late on 19 Dec and leave early on 20 Dec. But on the return trip I should get in late on 2 Jan and not flying back to the UK until 4 Jan. I think we are tyring to get the Jax Mac Get-Together crowd together for a dinner or something on 3 Jan. Looks like Mark/Helen and Phil are in so far.

Cheers,
Jim

It's nice to have folks like Bubba around to help a temporary cripple like me. I'm like the kid that got a bicycle for Christmas and can't wait for the snow to melt.
