Did u get your Mac on time?

Post by bg1kwq »

i've ordered and paid for a MacGregor26M through the productor, and the information about shipping date i got was 20th April, but till today I can't get any information about the exact shipping date from the productor.

They just said :"We loaded the boat and it left last week. The ship it is scheduled on was scheduled to sail on the 3rd. As we have not yet received the documents I do not know for sure if the boat is on that ship or was loaded on another one. "no any expaination about why delayed.

And till today (7th May), i still can't get any exact information about the shipping. It's already 4days after the delayed schedule to sail.

Anyone meet this problem while you purchase?

Thank you!

I will assume that your are overseas? When your say that your have contacted the productor (Manufacturer), is that MacGregor Yachts in Costa Mesa, California? If so and you ordered a boat from them for export, you will need to contact their export division:

I hope that you hear from them soon. This forum is not sponsored, or endorsed by MacGregor Yachts. However, there is a dealer that posts frequently here and he works very closely with the factory. Perhaps he will see this topic and have something to say.

Welcome to this forum and good luck.

Hopefully the pirates don't steel it in shipping. Good luck with your new Mac.

Hi,

Don't worry. I ordered direct from Sharpmarine and had the same experience. Laura was very helpful and answered all of my enquiries by return e-mail but there is a period when the boat leaves the factory and passes into the hands of the shipping agent and everyone loses sight of it for a while until it is confirmed that it is actually on board a ship. It will probably have left on the one you were advised but until the paperwork emerges from the shipping agent nothing can be confirmed. It may be 2 weeks or so after the departure date b4 you get the paperwork but it will arrive.

Enjoy your sailing

Thank you BigNige,

I still get nothing reply from Laura. Wish the boat is alright.

It's already 5 days after the shipping date.

5 days in the world of international shipping is nothing. In a different venue, I have had product locked up in US customs for 3 weeks without visibility. Other countries customs are usually worse (some exceptions)

Your importer should know this, but its not exactly a fedex world yet, despite all the commercials to the contrary.
