Thanks Nice Aft and Quebec 1,
I continued my research and I think I found what I need.
Lexan is manufactured by GE, after a dispute about licence rights that what settled out of court. They produce two colors of «yellowish» lexan, color which is labelled «bronze». One of these colors is far too opaque to be used as a window. The other one lets about 50% of the light coming through. It is poetically called «Bronze 509». I went to the local Rona (quite like HD) and looked at it. Really looks like the Mac 2003 window.
So if you need lexan to replace your 2003 window, or make a door, Lexan bronze 509 is what to look for.
I will glue a nice tinted 1/2 inch wooden frame to the lexan board, 1 inch inside the outside perimeter of the lexan board to give it stiffness. If a can figure out how to use «photobucket» in the meantime, I will then post a photograph.
Thanks for your help guys,
Mike
P.S. @ Quebec 1 : will be pleased to meet you on the St-Jean lake this summer. But as far as racing is concerned, I am afraid you will have to share a few tricks if you really want some competition, I have 5 days experience in sailing......(no kidding) and which is worse, on a C & C 29 !!!

Actually, I believe I am the only Mac owner who has more experience towing a Mac than sailing it. Actually, I NEVER ever sailed a Mac in my life.....
