Hi,
Ex-pat aussie living in Vancouver Canada for last twenty years has a Mac 26x ,( and possibly a 26M, friends boat), to swap for same in Australia or anywhere else with good cruising grounds.
Check out our local area on the net, British Columbia Coast, Gulf Islands, Dsolation Sound, etc. Perfectly suited to the Mac 26. I am a proffessional yacht captain with over 30 years experience, the cruising up here is beautiful in summer. Best months are July August and early Sept.
Let me know if anyone is interested and we will work out the details. I am looking for some time in my winter, Nov to March
Thanks,
Jaimie
Mac Swap
Re: Mac Swap
Me again, sorry was in a rush this morning when I posted this so thought I had better clarify my proposal a little bit. With all the Mac 26's out there wouldn't it be great to be able to sail one anywhere in the world. I would love 2 weeks in the Whitsundays or in Mexico or maybe the Med.I'm sure you all would too. I thought that we could swap equal time on each others Mac's no money changes hands except maybe a refundable "damage" deposit. Just like a charter boat but for FREE, and it,s the same boat you're used to back home.
Mine is a 1998 26x, thats nicely equiped and in really nice shape, she has every factory option available back then and then some. BBQ, Gps, sounder, Autopilot, Wallas parafin stove/heater, dinghy with 2.2 Mercury. Local cruising guides and charts etc etc. She is moored right downtown in Vancouver @ Quayside Marina, great location. I will even pick you up at the airport and give you a breifing about the local area, over a beer.
I will post a pic of her soon,
Thanks for reading and thanks for all the great info and advice on this site
