I was wondering if, within our community of Mackers, anyone has discussed a registry for those interested in swapping boats for new cruising grounds. It would seem to me that this is the perfect forum to do so as it is within a closed group of people that are familar to one another, most obviously the boat, free and we could continue to build friendships and member's interests. While the idea of swapping sounds intriguing, my concerns were being unfamiliar with the many nuances of different boats available and vice versa for the person out with my 26M. Here - problem solved.
Heck, if the swaps were done at the same time they could keep in touch right here for all to follow, and hey, it doesn't hurt to be able to ask " where do you keep the corkscrew ?".
Any thoughts ?,......

Re: Boat Swapping Anyone ?
would somebody swap to Europe? This idea was puplished (perhaps not the first time) in the Mac-forum under the title "Sailing on McGregors throughout the World". However it fizzled out so much that I lost track
.
My simple idea was that a couple comes to visit me here in Germany for let´s say about one to three weeks, is living parcially or all the time in my house and we are spending the time together in sightseeing and sailing. In exchange for that this couple is visited than at their home.
Ammandment for Rick: My wife and me are more than 60 years old and swapping wifes has been once before, long time ago

I follow commocean and Rainier idea...
It can be interesting...
Mac owners are probably the only kind off people that I would consider to do this.

If somebody is interested I could place a German text in various boat forums in Germany. The Baltic is a beautiful sailing area. Just let me know
