What kind of stuff are you looking for?

WestMarine.com, Defender.com, and Overtons.com carry all sorts of general boating items including lots of "stuff" for sailboats.

I would also recommend the various advertisers on this website. They only show up as banner ads on the top of each page. You will get a new banner each time you refresh the page. Maybe Heath will add a link under the "Resources" drop down menu with a list (and links) of all his advertisers. These advertisers have good stuff that works well on Mac's.

But there are many others. And some are "specialty" depending on the type of thing you are looking for (electronics, safety gear, clothing, galley items, sails/rigging, etc...).

Good Shopping,
Jim

Here are a few that I have bookmarked:

http://www.marinepartdepot.com/

http://www.pyacht.com/

http://www.shipstore.com/

http://www.go2marine.com/

http://www.apsltd.com/

While not all of these are dedicated to sailboat gear, all have some of what you need.

Actually, I've had excellent results by shopping on Ebay.

My suggestions are:

Know exactly what you're looking for.

Set a maximum bid price that you're willing to pay. Don't forget about shipping charges.

Read the description carefully.

Check the seller's feedback and use a credit card and PayPal, just in case there's a problem.

I have good results and on time delivery from http://www.sailboatowners.com

Have also used http://www.sailrite.com Jim Grant's (the owner) son, Brian, owns a MacGregor (at least he did when I last talked to him) and is able to give you good advise on items for the MacGregor when talking to him on the phone. He was able to give me the spacing to use for the sail slugs grommet installations on my OEM MacGregor main.

Axel
Keep in mind that many "brick and mortar" stores will match or beat the prices of their online competitors. Just yesterday I saved over $200 on paint and supplies from WM just by showing them my printed invoice from Wholesale marine. They also did this two weeks ago when I purchased my new mast light. It worked out great for me both times; I had my supplies right away, got a great price and kept my dollars local (as local as WM can get). PM me if you want details.
